Member of the Research Group HUM 138 ‘Hebraístas Andaluces’ of the University of Granada (Junta de Andalucía). He received his degree in Spanish Philology from the University of Ankara (Turkey) in 2007, and his master’s degree from the University of Granada (Spain) in 2011. He completed his doctorate in Social Sciences at the same University in 2016 with a thesis entitled: Pluriculturalidad de la lengua en la obra de Izak Gabay “Yildiz i sus sekretos: el reyno de Abdul Hamid” (Transcripción y estudio). His research interests are focused on the area of culture, history and language of the Ottoman Sephardim and present-day Turkey. He has numerous presentations at international congresses and publications on this topic in prestigious national and international journals.
